#MothersDay - A message from Deepika

Mummaa.. is the word I hear while getting daily chores done with the help of my maid. My little one wakes up from his afternoon sleep and as a ritual, he should see my face when he wakes up or else he becomes cranky. Yes, I m a mother of my 8 months old son.I took a break from my work to take care of him as I was not willing to leave him in daycare until he turns a year old.

Now I get ample of time to take care of my baby and enjoy his milestones. Since the day I became a mother I suddenly felt so much love and respect for MY Mother. How much pain she bore to bring me into this world! How she must have felt on becoming a mother (I am her eldest child)! Coincidentally I and my mother share the same date for enjoying this great feeling of motherhood (yeah..! I and my son have the same birth date)

And day by day as I see my little one growing and demanding for his needs, I wonder how my mother managed taking care of her in-laws, husband and her 4 children (my 2 sisters and a brother) at the same time without any house help.

Seriously, hats off to her for all hard work and determination she put in. Despite being not so educated herself, she made sure her kids complete their higher studies with good marks. She always encouraged and helped us all by herself, ALONE. ALONE because my father met with an accident and left us when I was in 8th standard.

But she continued doing the best for her kids. She is my hero in life and I will look up to her for my problems.

I love you MOM to the moon and back..
